How many days do you need?

The short answer is three. Here is why, and what to do with more or less time.

The short answer

Three days lets you see all three major attractions, the National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain and the Grand Canyon, at an easy pace.
The attractions are separate parks, up to an hour apart by road, each with its own entry. Trying to combine them in one day usually means more time in queues than on the trails.

If you have one or two days

With one day, choose one attraction and see it well. With two days, combine the National Forest Park with Tianmen Mountain, the two landscapes most people come for.

If you have four days or more

Extra days let you walk quieter trails, add Baofeng Lake and keep a spare morning for the best weather, which matters in a place where the mist decides the view.
